Mali i Tomorrit
Mali i Tomorrit (Mount Tomorr) rises above Berat to 2,416 metres, with oak and pine woods and alpine meadows. On 20–25 August Bektashi pilgrims climb to the tomb of Abaz Ali high on the mountain; the rest of the year its trails suit mountain walks, so arrange transport and check the weather.

Near the village of Bogovë in Skrapar, Bogova Waterfall drops about 20 metres into a deep green pool. It is protected as a natural monument for its hydrological and scenic value, and in summer its cool air draws visitors and climbers.
The Osum River runs through Berat between the Mangalem and Gorica quarters; further upstream it has carved the Osum Canyon near Çorovodë. In town, enjoy it from Ura e Goricës; the canyon, known for rafting and walking, needs a separate trip.
Qafë Dardha is a mountain village at the foot of Tomorr, east of Berat, with trails climbing towards the mountain. Its lake among the forests draws people for quiet days outdoors, and farm traditions and local food live on; check the road before driving up.
Mount Shpirag rises to about 1,200 metres above Berat. Under communism the name ENVER was spelled out on its slope in giant letters; in 2012 the first two were swapped to read NEVER. Trails lead up to the ridge, which looks over the surrounding plains towards the Adriatic coast.
Parku i Osumit (Osum Park) follows the riverside promenade for 1.47 km, adding about 16,500 m² of greenery to modern Berat. Paved paths and rest areas pass lime, plane, magnolia and weeping willow trees, along with cedars, palms and olives.
Carved by the Osum River near Çorovodë in Skrapar, the Osum Canyon has rock walls up to 80 metres high, with caves and waterfalls along its course. It is protected as a natural monument for its geological, scientific and scenic value, and is known for rafting and hiking.
