Lugina e Bistricës
The Bistrica valley runs inland from Sarandë along the Bistrica river, which rises at the Syri i Kaltër (Blue Eye) spring. A trip through it can pair the river landscape with local heritage such as the Byzantine monastery of Shën Kolli at Mesopotam.

Ksamil Beach lies south of Sarandë, on the road to Butrint, and is one of the best-known summer destinations on the Albanian Riviera. Its crystal-clear water makes it a good choice for families, and the small Ksamil Islands just offshore can be visited by boat.
The Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër) is a karst spring near Muzinë, reached from the Sarandë–Gjirokastër road. Its water, among the coldest in the area, wells up from deep underground into an intensely blue pool and feeds the Bistrica river. The site has been protected since 1996.
Gjiri i Kakomesë (Kakome Bay) is a cove on the coast near Sarandë, overlooked by the recently restored Monastery of St Mary. Most visitors arrive by boat, as access is from the sea, but a mountain road also lets walkers come down to the shore.
Tre Ishujt e Ksamilit (the three Ksamil islands) are small islets just off Ksamil, surrounded by clear water and dotted with tiny white-sand beaches. You can cross to them from the shore by small boat or by canoe.
Plazhi i Krorëzës (Krorëz Beach) is a small cove between Sarandë and Himarë, enclosed by high cliffs and green hills, with white sand and turquoise water. It is reached mainly by boat from Sarandë or along mountain footpaths.
Plazhi “Pema e Thatë” (Dry Tree Beach) lies near Ksamil, about 6 km from Sarandë. It is named after a dead tree that once stood in the water by the shore; the tree has since gone, but the name has stuck.
