Bunk’Art 1
Bunk’Art 1 fills a Cold War bunker built for Albania’s political and military leadership on Tirana’s eastern edge, behind the Dajti cable car station. Its five underground floors and 106 rooms, Enver Hoxha’s among them, trace Albanian history from 1939 to 1990. It stays cool inside, so bring a layer.

- On Tirana’s eastern edge in Linzë, by the Dajti Ekspres lower station: take the blue Porcelan bus from the Clock Tower to the Bunk’Art 1 stop, or a taxi. A long, dimly lit tunnel leads to the ticket desk.

Tiranë
Bunk’Art 2
Bunk’Art 2 occupies an anti-nuclear shelter built in secret in 1981–86 beneath the Ministry of Internal Affairs in central Tirana. A museum since 2016, it covers the gendarmerie, the police and the Sigurimi secret police, and political persecution in 1945–1991. The entrance is on Rruga Abdi Toptani, opposite City Hall.

Pyramid of Tirana
The Pyramid of Tirana opened in 1988 as a museum to Enver Hoxha, designed by a team that included his daughter Pranvera. Reworked by Dutch studio MVRDV, it reopened in 2023 as TUMO Tirana, a technology centre for teenagers, and steps on its sloping sides now let you climb to the top.

Clock Tower of Tirana
Kulla e Sahatit (the Clock Tower) was built in the early 19th century and is one of Tirana’s best-known symbols, a stone tower in Ottoman style. It stands beside Skanderbeg Square, next to Et’hem Bey Mosque, so it fits into any walk around the centre.

Brar Bridge
Ura e Brarit (Brar Bridge) is an 18th-century stone bridge with a semicircular arch over the Tirana river, below the village of Brar. It once linked the village with Tirana and the caravan road to Dibër, and today suits a walk or photos out of town.

Finds from prehistory to antiquity fill Tirana’s Archaeological Museum, Albania’s leading institution for archaeological heritage. Ornaments, mosaics, coins and other objects on display shed light on everyday life in ancient times.

Begun in the late 18th century and finished in the early 19th, Et’hem Bey Mosque is known for its rare frescoes of landscapes, flowers and oriental buildings. It stands on Skanderbeg Square and is open to visitors; dress modestly when going in.
