    Muzeu Historik Kombëtar

Opened in 1981 facing Skanderbeg Square, the National History Museum is Albania’s largest, with a monumental mosaic across its façade. Its pavilions run from Illyria to communism. It closed in March 2024 for a renovation lasting several years, so check before you go.
